Ashley’s Hope is a new non-profit organization focusing on providing support for families of children with a life threatening illness. Ashley’s Hope started in October 2006 by Jennifer Nelich whose daughter Ashley was diagnosed with bilateral Wilm’s Tumors (tumors in both kidneys) at 19 months old and has had it reoccur 2 more times causing her to be the ONLY child in the world to have it occur three consecutive times. Jennifer lost everything that she ever had, but thanks to her family, friends, acquaintances and generous people she was able to provide the necessities of life for her 2 precious girls. As a single mother she found out that there are very limited organizations that will assist in helping families out with simple things as gas, house/rent payments, car payments, utilities, food or just a meal after a long day at the hospital or even vouchers for the Cleveland Clinic parking. Ashley’s Hope has already assisted 17 area families and receives new applications weekly.

Ashley’s Hope is having our 2nd ANNUAL WING DING FUNDRAISER on Saturday January 19, 2008 from 6-9 pm at Knockouts Bar and Grill, 6425 Pearl Road Parma Hts., Ohio. We are in need of donations for door prizes and items to be placed in our baskets for our silent auction as well as a live auction to be led by 2 local Cleveland Celebrities, silent auction and gift certificate raffles. Anything that you can provide to us would be greatly appreciated.
